Have you ever been to a sales meeting where they talked about the goal? We all have. Then you can set goals such as "One million dollars in three years", or something like that. Then a day later, you really forget the purpose, and you return to old habits.
Why do most goals fail to work? They are not the real goal in the first place. If someone speaks to you about setting goals, goals you set will tend to be anything other people would think is a good goal. Most of the goals set in the future, and no action was taken today. That's why they do not work.
Here are two purposes;
"I'm going to lose 100 pounds in three years"
"I'll lose a pound these days"
Now, the goal is more likely to be implemented? The second, by a landslide.
Why? Because you're involved now. You can not put it off until tomorrow. The objective need some things to be effective.
The aim must be real to you. They must be something you want to achieve more than you want comfort remains the same.
Goals should have a schedule for completing it. When I sold years ago, I have a goal with a week income. If I had a goal achieved by the day Wednesday, I piled my sales so I'm ahead of next week. If I had not met my goal on Friday, I worked all weekend. My goal is real, and real deadlines. If the goal is just wishful thinking.
The aim must always have a time limit. Remember that homework needs to be returned on Friday, when you were little? When you do that? Thursday night, if you like 99.999% of the planet. You need a deadline. schedule is how you give yourself daily deadlines. That's why scheduling is very important.
The aim should not ... been postponed. "I'm going to start achieving this goal next week" will not succeed. How do I know? Having never worked in the past, for someone you know.
"I'll try" is the goal of death. "I'll try" is the exact same thing as "I'm not going"
Saying "I should" be worse. Saying the word "should" mean exactly the same thing with "no will".
I have seen a very easy method to see if someone has a real purpose;
Did they record what they do to reach the goal? Do they keep track of how far they are today, if they are ahead of schedule, if they are behind schedule?
If you keep records, you are the one to watch, and someone who means business. If you do not keep a schedule, you might as well go back to sleep. Your destination is located right in the future.
Good luck.
